For P1 student.My son is weak in Chinese but I know how to teach. He has pronunciation problems and speech delay in the past. Therefore for spoken, he is very weak. I am not good in English and both myself and my husband are busy working weekday. I visited British council young learner yesterday and thinking should he be in the tuition and help him in his academic? I am not kiasu but really tough to teach him at home. He likes to mingle ard as well. I am not sure if he can really follow or he will be there to play only. English or Chinese tution and any recommendation?

Speech delay due to lack of communication at home or medical issue? See a specialist if medical. If lack of communication at home, who takes care of him when both parents are working? Do encourage the adults at home to speak to him in full sentence, no more baby talk. Encourage him to reply in full sentences too. If he finds certain words difficult to pronounce, maybe sign him up for Phonics for weekend class. Do note you have to consider transport to lessons for the kid since both parents working.
