I agree with Stan. Water is in fact not that vital to breastfed or formula-fed babies. The reason why your baby does not want water can be because he does not actually need it. The amount of water required for babies is already present in breast milk or formula.

Our pedia told us that it's just ok not to give water to ebf babies. Breastmilk is enough. So we never tried giving her water.
