Diff location

Does anyone of you stay different place together with your spouse? And has to take care LO alone every night? He suggested that because it’ll be less tiring (in term of traveling to and fro my mum house) for us cause my mum would be able to take care of the baby when I leave for work. Isn’t it ridiculous?
