There is a huge debate over this issue. There are pros and cons to it. And some arguement over this 'inanny' Personally for me, i will give my kids the ipad when i am busy with stuffs or i needed to a personal space to prevent myself from scolding them due to personal anger. But i control the shows they watch and always keep a close look out on the videos they will be clicking. Its good to expose them to some songs and videos on youtube as they picks up songs and phonics thru these apps. Importantly. All Things in Moderation It should also be noted that using a tablet as a substitute for other activities is probably not the wisest idea. Real building blocks will still help your child develop coordination, spatial and dimensional reasoning as well as a sense of balance much better than an app with virtual ones. Even though painting on a screen is much cleaner than actual finger painting, it provides only a fragment of stimuli. Sticking fingers in paint and painting with them stimulates your child’s sense of sight, smell, hearing and especially touch, feeling different textures of paper and paint and how they change when the two mix. This is a very important part of cognitive development and should not be thrown aside in the name of cleanliness. Read more in the link below. http://domain.me/children-using-ipads/

I don't allow him to use electronics often as I feel that children shouldn't look at them so frequently. Long term looking at these lighted screens can cause myopia. They should still learn and play with physical items instead of virtual ones. Kids should be going out, running around and playing instead of staying home all day staring at a rectangle piece of object. I don't remember us having all these electronics when we are younger and they don't seem to be a "missing piece" not having one. During festive season, we will visit my mother at times and she lets my son look at iPad occasionally which i noticed that his eyes and mind are glued to it. He doesn't respond at the first call of his name. After eating, he will rush back into the room and keep watching the iPad alone. He didn't even socialise with our family members at all. Overall I still feel that it is not a "healthy" option to give to a children be it to distract them or to keep them occupied. But there are always different point of views. So it boils down to personal preference.

that's the problem with Society everybody's giving kids tablets and phones I believe it even four five six years old is too young to have a tablet they need to be outside playing and enjoying life like we used to when we were kids people don't raise their kids back like they did in the 80s and the 90s need to have more parents that show more interest in their kids and playing with their kids outside then giving them Electronics just to keep them busy

My 3 yr old gets super car sick... even after only 10 minutes of driving. We tried acupuncture bracelets, watching drink and meal times prior, a new vehicle, and medicine... when she watches a movie on the iPad in the car she never gets sick... So worth seeing our lil one not get sick everytime she gets in her car seat.

I don't feel like it is healthy for my baby to watch any kind of screens due to the blue rays from the screens harming their eyesight. Having said that it is hard to restrict from viewing any screens at all since it is literally all around us. But i try and minimize their contact with screens as much as possible.

No, I don’t recommend it. The kids experts said that better no TV until 2 years old. After they turned 2, they can watch TV 1 hour/day by recommendation of parents. You can use google to search for more useful information.

As much as possible, I want to keep my baby away from screens and gadgets. But as long as it's only occasionally and if the screen is placed at a safe distance, then it should be fine.

It probably isn't an issue as long it's not garbage material such as "Keeping with the Kardashians" or those brainless reality shows. Sesame Street is always good though.

I don't recommend it. Babies need to interact with humans not screen. They can use the ipad/tablet when they are older (at least 4 years old) and use in moderation.

i dont allow my kids watch videos on ipad/tablets or our phone ,a better stay habits watch tv cartoon on television
