I did not consume Cordyceps during pregnancy. There is no scientific research conducted on effect of Cordyceps on pregnant women and it is mentioned that there is potential unknown side effects of this on pregnant woman as it may affect their steroid hormone levels. However, Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that Cordyceps is generally good for improving immune system. I personally do not to eat Cordyceps during pregnancy to play safe. https://www.sharecare.com/health/chinese-traditional-medicine/can-take-cordyceps-pregnant-breastfeeding

I consumed cordyceps for my 2nd pregnancy. In the end my son had developed very high jaundice (reading at 400) and the PD mentioned cordycerps is one of the causes. Thus, I do not consume it anymore for my 3rd pregnancy. You have to be cautious on what herbs you taking during pregnancy. If in doubt, always consult with your gynae.
