It depends on your LO's skin and how sensitive it is. I never put any diaper cream for my girl unless her butt gets a bit red and sore from pooing a lot. It seldom does. I change her diaper about 5-6 times a day.

I only use diaper cream at night as I don't wake up in the middle of the night to change her diapers. Other times I don't use unless I notice she has rash or she feels itchy

I don't apply diaper cream unless baby has rash. Otherwise I only stick with coconut oil. You can stop the cream too.

i stop applying since they turn 1yo. only during night time when diaper wearing will be longer with no changing.
