36 weeks
Been having alot of cramps that come and go... It last for about a minute or so and it disappears. Went through it the whole of last night... Anyone went through it before?
Should be Braxton hicks. I've been having it on and off since start of third tri! It's getting more intense after 34 weeks. Mine just feels like dull period cramps that carry on for hours at a time. I had a really intense one at 37 weeks but it didn't recur. I've a friend who has it through the night. I did consult my gynae and he's pretty confident that it's just BH. Since you're close to term, look out for increase in intensity and frequency of the cramps. Other signs to look out for will be leaking of your amniotic fluid and (bloody) show. My gynae did say the show is one of the earliest signs or labour and it doesn't mean that labour is going to hit soon for most women, it can go up to days for some. He told me to look out for contractions or leaking fluid instead. Hang in there!
Read moreYup, I had a tonne of it. Braxton Hicks contractions. Like practice contractions... if they’re not regular and do go away, plus they’re not excruciatingly painful.. then that’s likely it. There’s nothing for you to do, except to wait for them to pass.
It’s probably Braxton Hicks contractions. Your body is preparing for labour so this is like irregular practice contraction. No need to worry. Do monitor for other symptoms of true labour like regular and strong contractions, bloody show etc.
Braxton hicks are irregular contractions to prepare our bodies for childbirth
