Mine used to be just like yours too! He sucks on everyting, even my shoulders when i carried him upright. He didnt want pacifier initially, but i didnt give up and offered him until he accepts it now. At least he can depend on the pacifier to soothe himself now. I will slowly remove it once he is asleep. Sometimes, it will fall off his mouth naturally if he is dead tired and in deep sleep. Just keep on trying with the pacifier. Personally i stick to the same one and didnt change to other types/brands, so that he wont build any preferance and i just teach him to stick to one.
