My baby does not like to be around strangers

My baby will always cry when strangers carry her ever since she was about 6 months old. Now that she’s 14 months old, it gets worse. She’ll cry murder when someone carries her. Sometimes she’ll allow her grandparents to carry her, but sometimes no. She only wants either me or my hubby. It worries me because i’m scared this will prolong and she doesn’t want to socialise. Is this a phase or that’s just how she is?
