My baby is 15 months old but still afraid to walk on his own. Should I be worried?

Each kid develops differently. Is your baby able to stand on his/her own even though he/she wobbles? It's important to observe what could be the cause of your baby's fear. Could it be that they're afraid to stumble? It may just be a case of dependence. Try to slowly leave them to test their own limits but be there to catch them. If this persists past 18-20 months, it's best to consult your doctor.

It's really unusual for a kid not to be able to walk at that age but sometimes it's just a lay-off from the norm. Maybe your kid is just a late bloomer. However, this can also be a red flag since around 50 percent of babies start to walk as early as 9 months. Wait until 18 months, or better yet have him checked.
