Any idea to celebrate the husband birthday ? Would love to spend some "me" time with him without the kiddos. A nice dinner with nice atmosphere will be good.

Any chance your parents-in-law could help look after the children for the night? If yes, a dinner right in your own home (without the kids) would be an interesting change. Dinner could be anything! Take-outs or cooking his favourite dish for him? My husband and I are "homely people" and would very much prefer to be in the comfort of our own homes than to go out into the crowds (hence my suggestions). Though it may sound simple, but how often do you get the house to yourself nowadays? ;p

A romantic getaway to Bali sounds like a good idea to me. Pristine beaches, clear blue sky, dazzling marine life and a coconut in your hand. I can just imagine tons of couples taking long strolls by the sandy shores to get to their dinner location. While you're at it, why not request to have a romantic candle light dinner by the beach?

Perhaps an overnight staycation at a nice hotel somewhere nice (Sentosa or Clarke Quay, my top picks). You can order room service, eat in bed and watch random movies -- fun, private, comfy and sexy all at once. This way you get to create your own atmosphere, not worry too much about dressing up and it's literally just the two of you :)

What's his favourite food? If chinese I recommend min Jiang at Goodwood park. For Thai I recommend tamarind hill. For Indian, I recommend song of india. For wester, I recommend alkaff mansion. Also, for the ultimate couple time, why not book a staycation sans kids. :)

I would recommend the Cut at Marina Bay Sands, if your husband likes a fancy steak dinner. You can start the night with drinks on the roof top, followed by steak and some gambling at the Casino thereafter.

What is your husband favorite food? Cook it for him! Or if you don't cook, simply spend a nigh at the hotel without kids. With a great view of course :)
