sleep at bottle

Any advice or suggestions how to improve the situation with a 5wk LO who sleeps at the bottle (breasts too) after 30/120ml without fail each time? Diaper-changing her, tickling her soles, talking to her, and etc dont work on waking her to continue her milk feed. Problem is she is not fully fed and wakes abt an hour later hungry again. Sometimes quite frustrated because the EBM is left unfinished.

I think it’s actually quite common and normal among young babies. You can cap the bottle of your EBM and feed her when she wakes up after an hour if it still smells alright:) Babies tend to be more aware of their surroundings and active after 3 months. I know the grass is greener on the other side, but my LO was active and alert with huge eyes since birth 🤣 She refused to sleep! And she still wanted to feed frequently, drinking really small amounts each time. I would have loved your problem 😂 But honestly, don’t get stressed or frustrated. This phase will pass...

I feel you! My girl was like this too when she was younger. Psyched for 5-10 minutes and will fall asleep only to wake after 1-2 hours. One extreme way is to take off her clothes (left with diapers only) so that she will feel cold and wake up to drink. But do make sure she doesn’t catch a chill.
