Meaning ng PTPA and PT/APTT

37 weeks and 6 days Ftm Hi. Ask lang po any difference between the two above. Yung PT/PTPA po kasi ang nakalagay sa lab request ni ob, pero yung available na nsa lab clinic is PT/APTT naman. Hindi din pp ksi yta alam ng ob ko kung same lang din ba silang dalawa. I asked the medtech sa lab clinic kung same lang ba sila, sabi naman nya, same lang, at ito nga daw po ung matitest kung may possibility or chance na magblood clot (anything abt blood) during surgery or especially manganganak na. Anyone here na nakapag ganito ng ganitong labtest, may kamahalan pa naman tong labtest na to.. ? Tia and Glod Bless us all

Yes po.. PT is protime test.. APTT is activated prothrombin test... Both for blood coagulation/blood clotting test. Hehe ... ..PTPA is kasama na po ung INR dyan ... Alam naman po ng lab yan ..
