My 19 months old LO has yellow discharge on her eyes, especially when she wakes up from her sleep. Sometimes, it gets so sticky that she finds it hard to open her eyes. Anyone has any experience on that?

There are many different reasons why your eye produces discharge. Most causes are harmless, but some can be the result of a more serious condition. The most common occurrence is waking up with discharge in the corners of your eyes. This discharge is a sign that some form of bacteria, either from make-up or extra oily skin, has tried to make its way into your eye while you were sleeping. monitor if it doesnt go away soon u may want to bring her to the doctor

My lo's corner of de eye got some redness.. Flush with bm.. Got some improvement but still worried so brought to see doc.. Given eye drop n some vicous liquid for eyes too.. After 5days, no more redness or yellow discharge..

Please take your child to the doctors for professional medical advice. Most of the time it is nothing to be alarmed about, however it could also be a case of infection. Best to get it checked.
