My 1 yr old baby used to sleep in the afternoon or as we call it "siesta". But for the past week, she doesn't anymore. Will this cause something bad to her? Since she has "less" sleep now?

1 year old babies need 13-14 hours of sleep, naps included. But as long as your toddler completes the required hours, there will not be much negative effect. However, pediatricians still recommend naps to prevent babies in becoming overtired and moody. What was the reason why she did not have naps recently? There maybe some activities which distract her in having the opportunity to take a nap. Schedule it daily and make your baby adapt to it.

The side effect of non having siesta for babies and toddlers is: They get irritated so quickly. When they rub their eyes and don't smile at all, that's it.
