Hi mummies! I am not a fan of Hegen, don’t ask me why! Anyway, I’m contemplating to buy these 2 brand of bottles — Philips Avent & Tommee Tippee. What are your recommendations? #firstimemom #firstpreganancy

Depends on your baby. My twin A was ok with avent and not tommee tippee. Twin B was opposite. So it was really troublesome to use 2 different brands. Switched to hegen and they both accepted hegen. But between tommee tippee and avent, i prefer avent natural. Avent anti colic sometimes leaks eventho you close the lid tightly. Tommee tippee is easier to wash than avent but always leaves a few ml of milk because of the shape of the bottle, so there’s always gonna be wastage unless you position the bottle 90degree while feeding the baby which isn’t ideal ofcourse.

Hospital Selection

Firstly, it depends on the hospital or gynae of your choice. There are gynaes that are in government hospital like Dr Suzanna in KKH, Dr Citra in NUH while some private Dr are in TMC,Mount E, etc. Then, the packages each of the private/gov. hospital have for private patients. What are the breakdowns for pre natal, labour, post natal checks. You can choose gynae based on recommendations by friends/family/experience. End day, it is also subject to gynae's availability till your EDD and if you would like them to be your gynae. Most people choose gynae because they prefer the particular gynae or they prefer to have just one doctor overlooking all of their baby's need and them. Hope this helps.

When do babies start to flip/roll over?

Hi Mummies, Can I check by what week or month do babies start to flip or roll over? My boy is 10 weeks old and still doesn’t show any sign of rolling over. Is it too early ? I still swaddle him to sleep as Moro reflux won’t let him sleep otherwise. Doctor told me to keep swaddling hun until he starts rolling over #firstimemom #adviceplease

My boy flipped over at abt 2.5 months and tt's considered v early. He's naturally v active and started standing independently at 6 mths, walked at 8 mths. Contrary to what doctors said, I did not swaddle my boy much as he likes to wiggle ard and I let him discover his hands and feet. But of cz it depends on the baby. Most babies need to swaddle to slp but a few hates it like my boy. My mom was an infantcare teacher and she said typically babies start rolling ard 3-6 mths. Doing lots of tummy time helps as it strengthens baby's neck and back. Once baby starts rolling, do hold him up to stand on his feet so that he gets used to using his leg muscles.

Sudden Cold feel

Yes. I wear socks to sleep and everywhere I go now. My feet get cold!
