Breastfeeding supplements

Hi mamas! Pls recommend me some breastfeeding supplements. I know many of you consume prenatal ones but I don’t want to travel all the way to my gynae just to get them. Would prefer brands that I can get over the counter like Watsons/ guardian or unity.

Hi mummies, how often do you change your breast pads? I usually wear mine the entire day, not sure if it’s hygienic? I have friends that change out once every 2 days too.

How much fm to feed newborn

Hi mummies, I just gave birth a few days ago. Bb is 5 days old and drinking FM as my supply have not kicked in. He is 3.4kg at birth. Day 1 - hospital gave 30ml/ feed Day 2 - hospital gave 35ml/ feed Day 3 - hospital gave 40ml/ feed upon discharge Day 4 - CN gave 50ml/ feed Day 5 - CN gave 55-60ml/ feed He doesn’t vomit out milk, and sometimes start crying/ fussing for an hour or continue with suckle effect even after fed. Are we over feeding? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby

W39 and no labour symptoms

Hi mummies! I’m currently at W39D3 today. Went for my appt for a cervix check but gynae said that i’m not dilated (0cm) and baby is still high up. Therefore, given the option to induce/ elective csect or wait it out till my EDD next week and decide again. Felt a little disappointed tho because bb was head down since W24 & I’ve been having pelvic pains for the past few weeks… but end up still not engaged yet. 1. Any mummies able to share their experience of successful induction even when baby is not engaged? I was told of the risk too if induction fails might lead to emergency csect. 2. Also, gynae says placenta and amniotic fluid levels are okay. Bb is currently 3.3kg now, should I wait it out till past my EDD? Has anyone given birth at close to W41? #firsttimemom #Needadvice #firstbaby

I was 40 weeks 5 days pregnant with my first baby. No signs of labour, nothing. Was induced. Labour was 29 hours and dilated very slowly. (didn't take epidural) Gynae told me if i didn't dilate at 10cm by 1am (cos they already burst the waterbag), i would have to go for e-csect. thank god by 1am, i was 10cm 5 mins before the cut off timing. started to push and managed to deliver normal. 3.6kg baby.

Rash around tummy

Anyone in their late pregnancy experiencing super itchy rash/ red lil bumps around tummy area especially on the stretch marks? It only started appearing since W37 for me & it gets super itchy at night 😭 not sure if it’s something to be concern about? #firsttimemom #firstbaby #Needadvice

It’s normal but remember… DON’T scratch it else you will regret 😂

No appetite in 3rd trimester

Hi hi! Anyone feeling like appetite dropped a lot during last tri? I’m 31W now. Had my lunch at 2pm but still not feeling hungry as of 10:30pm. Is it ok to just skip dinner and take the prenatal vits as a meal replacement?

Pre natal visit can be taken in the morning only. Perhaps you can have materna milk twice a day so that you dont keep ur stomach empty by dinner time. You can also make some hot chocolate with biscuits or bread or fruits.

Laundry Detergent

Hi mummies! Any recommendations for laundry detergent safe for newborn and can be used together to wash the whole family’s clothes? Cause might be a hassle to wash adult clothes separately and wash newborn clothes with another type of detergent. I heard of biohome, any reviews? #firsttimemom #advicepls

You can try Seventh Generation for both adults and kids. It contains plant based ingredients to minimise skin sensitivity or allergies. Though it is hassle to wash separately, but it is highly advise that NB and adults clothes are wash separately.
