baby found to have triphalangeal thumb and polydactyly

Hi there, wanna know if there are any mummies whose baby has an extra digit on the hand? E.g. extra thumb, extra finger, extra joint on a finger etc. My baby was found to have triphalangeal and polydactyly. So wanted to hear from mummies with similar experiences on what to expect. Just wanna share that I am okay with my baby having triphalangeal and polydactyly :) will still keep my baby despite this congenital anomaly.

it’s quite common i know a few friends whose babies have these, they opted for surgical removal after birth.m

KKIVF Pregnancy

After hcg test, i was told that i am pregnant with a hcg of 787. Then i was given an appointment for scan at antenatal monitoring clinic and clinic D to see a doctor. Kkivf centre says i am discharged and i will follow up at clinic D. But I wasn’t told who is my gynae. (I didn’t think about asking either) Any one knows if KKIVF has discharged me, am I still on a subsidized route and whether I will be with the same consultant who was overseeing my ivf or is there a different team of doctors that was manage my case?

with no specific gynae you are still on subsidized route. were you on subsidized route for ivf treatment? likely different doctors will manage you from now on. if you want to have only one particular gynae throughout ur pregnancy, it will be private route

L-XL before pregnancy

Anyone that is around L to XL before pregnancy? If you are around this size, may I know when did your tummy start showing? Wanting to keep my 1st trim a secret but find my tummy quite obvious. I am estimated 5 weeks (haven’t gone for 1st scan yet).

Started showing around week 20? Ppl just always assume i’m fat haha

SG’s safe distancing measures as at 29 March

With the increase to 10 pax, any 1st trim mummies being pressured to meet up with friends? Are you fearful of meeting large groups of people? My friends are not aware that I am pregnant and I don’t want to risk accidentally sharing food with 9 other people at one social gathering. But my friends are pressing me. It’s so annoying. I’ll still reject to be safe for my baby. Just wondering how you girls managed such situations?

Let them know you’re not up for a gathering at the moment due to other commitments or you’re not feeling too well and would like to skip this session. Maybe when things are more stabilised and you’re ready to let them know, you can schedule the next meet up. Probably in a smaller group. 🙈

Frequent urination at 5 weeks

Am at 5 weeks and noticed that I have been urinating quite frequently especially at night. Anyone has similar experience?

Zyrtec / Cetirizine for Chronic Urticaria/Hives

Wondering if any mummies have chronic hives prior to conceiving and whether you have been advised to avoid Zyrtec or Cetirizine? My doctor from the polyclinic has advised that it is safe to take it since my condition is chronic and chlorpheniramine has not been effective for my condition. My IVF doctor from KKH mentioned that Zyrtec is not proven to be unsafe but no substantial studies to show it’s safe either. So she prefers I take chlorphenramine but as mentioned, it’s really not working. Feeling kinda torn on how to manage the hives other than Zyrtec. Clarity/loratadine doesn’t work well for me either, and it wasn’t recommended for pregnancy anyway. #advicepls #chronicurticaria #chronichives #hives #urticaria

i had this, took piriton throughout 1st tm and baby has no issues. was told by dr that cetirizine is ok too.
