dinner at in laws place
Just to rant. MIL food is sometimes a bit ridiculous. Fry fish coated with turmeric powder. She don't know pregnant cannot eat too much turmeric cos it'll cause jaundice? And yet she keep saying must eat this must eat that. What nonsense. Cook Chinese herbal soup. She don't know pregnant cannot anyhow take Chinese herbs? Fry egg the yolk not fully cooked. She don't know pregnant cannot take half cooked food? Fry french fries for dinner and yet keep saying outside food a lot of MSG, French fries no MSG meh?!
hand me downs
Do you all feel the same as me? Sometimes hand me downs are appreciated, but at times I do feel that I need my own experience in choosing and buying my own baby stuff.
confinement
Anyone have problem in where to stay for confinement? My parents house only have 2 bedrooms, one for them and I used to stay in the other room. I can use the room for confinement, but I feel it is too small to house 2 adults and 1 baby. And with my father smoking and working shifts, I don't feel very appropriate, as well as I do not wish to bother them with a new born crying at night. In laws house is definitely no as there are no rooms available at all. Hdb rental flat is an option and we are waiting for results. Renting from open market seems an expensive option. Husband say my parents place seems good as I'll be more comfortable, my only concern is that the room is too small.
announcing pregnancy
Apparently my in laws are not overly happy or excited after hearing the news.... They are more concern about their year end holiday plans.... Shouldn't have stress myself over this....
