Folic Acid

Hi there, would like to know if I should start eating folic acid? I am in my 5th week have not seen a doc yet.

Actually folic acid is recommended to be taken at least 3 months before conceiving. Just that during 1st trimester of pregnancy, the intake should be much higher to aid baby’s development.

Super bad ligament pain

Hey mommies i have the worse round ligament pain and its constant cramping! I couldnt get out of bed It hurts when i lie down they say its suppose to hurt when u move but mine was constant and im28 weeks..what can i do for this? Because i dont want to go A&E and be sent home with panadol only

When can know baby movement?

Now I am at 19 Weeks+ 3 days, however, I didn’t feel any kick or movement from baby. Is it normal or is it due to my first child so that I don’t know?

me too. me 19 weeks and its my third child and yet no movement. maybe different mummies different situation? haha. my first child was as early as 18 weeks, my 2nd child is 19 weeks to 20 weeks

Low Lying Placenta

Hi Mummies! My anterior placenta is low but not covering cervix at week 32. Is there any old wives tales / food / massage or anything I can do to make it go further away from cervix? #firsttimemom

Anyone had VBAC before?

I had a c-sect last 2 years. My edd now will be in August. However, the doctor said if I want to go for vaginal birth, it must all come natural. As in contractions, water bag burst, and dilation. There will be no assistance such as induce. Is there any tip for me to have vaginal birth naturally?

Test positive for pregnancy only after missed period 1week is it possible?

Hi , can someone help me to count? my last period was 15-18dec, in Jan I missed my period so when to test but turn out to be negative for a week. 1. Is it possible to get pregnant and still can't test when u miss ur period for a week? 2.On 22nd Jan I got a feeling I'm ovulating so when to test for ovulation n it turn out to be positive...after 10-11days I test faint line with pregnancy kit. I have irregular menses so I can't count actually when I'm conceive can anyone help me. I believe is from the 22nd feb cos now is just a faint line not very dark line.

Rapid weight gain and Puffy face first tri

First time pregnancy and wanted to ask if anyone experienced the same? I’m in my first mth and I’ve already gained 3 kg in less than a week. Ive not eaten a lot but it seems like I’m having a lot of water retention and my face / eyes are really puffy / swollen to the point that I’m feeling discomfort and self conscious…. Any advise?

NUH subsidized

Hi all. I'm pregnant w no.2 and have decided on a gynae at NUH but I can only see her next year. In the meantime I was advised to go through Clinic G for my antenatal visits while waiting to see her. Can anyone advise on 1. How long before I get an appointment at Clinic G? It's been 3 working days since I went to the polyclinic for referral. Should I call to check? 2. I understand that some mums call in to check if there are last min cancellations to try to get an earlier appointment. Can I do that too w the WOMEN'S Clinic? 3. Has anyone tried going for the first appointment with any gynae at Women's Clinic (private) for the dating scan and then reverted to the given Clinic G appt (assuming it's quite late) I would like to have an appointment at week 7 but I heard that the first appointment can be as late as Week 10. 3. What is the cost of doing NIPT as a subsidized patient? Thanks all in advance!

Test pregnant, what I shld do next?

Hi everyone, I tested pregnant positive with faint line, what I shld do? Do I need to do a blood test to cfm ? If so where I can do it. Or just wait the 6week mark to do a scan? Fyi I had a miscarriage history #firsttimemom
