When to see a gynae?
I’m 5 weeks and not sure if it’s too early to see a gynae. Heard that you can only ultrasound when 8 weeks. Is there a point in me finding and seeing a gynae now or should I wait? #firsttimemom
Cramps in 6/7 week
Hi I’m getting cramps every now and then. It’s not serious and not as bad as period cramps but I’m a bit worried. Most of the time it’s towards the left side of my tummy. Any one also experiencing the same issue? I’m on duphaston twice a day.
switch from public to private
hello first time mum here, does anyone knows if its possible to go the public route for all the scans etc, and choose to deliver in private hospital? or might as well just deliver in public hospital? any pros and cons? appreciate your help!
Pregnancy symptoms
Is it normal to feel cramps during 1st trimester? (5 weeks pregnant) no ultrascan yet as gynae said it’s too early. The cramps feel like period cramp and sometimes tummy ache pain. Had a biochemical pregnancy before..
To work or not to work
Hello mommies, I work as a cook in a restaurant and i want to ask if it's safe to work 8 hours and no sitting down at all. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my husband think that I shouldn't work during my 1st trimester. #pleasehelp
Vitamin C during pregnancy?
Hi ladies, wanted to get a second opinion as I don’t have a fixed gynae. Did any of your gynaes tell you if it’s ok to take vitamin c (like those 1000mg effervescent tablets)? Before pregnancy, I always took it and found it to be quite useful in preventing sickness. I’m not so sure now that I’m 7-8 weeks pregnant 😅 Anyone knows? Trying to build up my immunity :p
Nuh or KKH gynae queries
Hi mums, just looking for feedback on these doctors. My consideration for gynae are: - someone who is patient when we ask questions. I'm FTM, bedside manners would really be important - someone who can give HL leaves when requested/necessary - respects birth plan (eg delayed cord clamping, skin to skin etc) - pro-natural (I am 35 this year and would fall under geriatric mum) - since I'm FTM, I also have alot of anxiety around labour and pregnancy. I'm looking for someone who has calming influence during labour. The gynaes I have in mind are: KKH - Dr Manisha Mathur KKH - Dr Lee Jia Min NUH - Prof Arijit Biswas NUH - Dr Vanaja Care is equally important to me. Been reading that NUH is much better than KKH in that, however there are also some who have said that KKH private is good. Confused at this point. 😵💫 Could mums who've had positive experience in KKH private share their experiences pls. I'm currently in subsidy route in KKH (7 weeks preggy) and honestly cannot decide whether KKH private would be better or NUH private. The difference in distance of both hospitals from my home is negligible ( less than 10 mins) Appreciate any advise. Thanks in advance. 🙏🙏
Progesterone level dropped at 6 weeks
Hi all, I’m currently 6 weeks 4 days and took my blood test yesterday. My HCG and Progesterone came back in the normal range (HCG- 72,000mIU/mL, and Progesterone at 20ng/mL). I am a little concerned as my progesterone levels at 4 weeks was at 41ng/mL and was wondering if such a drastic drop is normal and if this happened to anyone as well? I had a miscarriage prior so just a little worried that levels continue to drop, but at the same time I also read that progesterone levels fluctuates. Would appreciate any advice!
Gain weight for the first month of the pregnancy.
Week 5 of my pregnancy I remained at 53kg. From week 5 to 6 of my pregnancy, I always feel hungry. Hence, I eat a lot and I've gained 2kg in one week. Is it too fast? What should i do? Thank you!
Light spotting with left abdominal tugging
Hi, has anybody experienced vaginal spotting (very light brown) at week 7? Read from Google that it’s pretty common to have spotting during first trimester but gynae says no it’s not normal. Am quite paranoid as my first was a missed miscarriage. Anybody having this issue too ?
