How do you all manage pumping exclusively after 6 months without parent or in law or maid help? Do you have help from your husband on night for baby? are you able to maneveur around alone? Like goes to mall all by yourself with baby? #pumpingexclusively #pumpingasi #6months #fMilysupport

I switched to Handsfree after 1.5m so I have my hands to feed/change baby if I need to. Night time if baby’s feeding time coincides with my pumping time, I will feed myself. If she wakes up after or not my pump time, I’ll ask my husband to feed instead. If I bring bb out alone, I’ll pump 10 mins before her feed time then just give the expressed milk. Bring along liquid cleanser (even thou some nursing rooms provides, it’s usually empty) to wash the pumps after if you need it for next session outdoors.

Traditional weaning

Hi, LO is turning 6mths soon. What would be the first solid you will introduce to your LO?

I introduced Gerber organic cereal (green bottle) and rice (blue bottle) first. Followed by most of the vegetables like butternut pumpkin, baby spinach (high in iron!), kale, sweet potato, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, corn etc first because I don’t want him to taste those tasty sweet fruits and reject vegetables after that (disclaimer: it’s up to your personal preference 😅). You can give fruits only or mix fruits and vegetables in between or along the way like banana, avocado, apple, blueberry etc. Apple + orange Avocado + banana You will get to know more about what your baby likes and dislikes. My baby was given covee steroid cream for his neck thrush but it's been 2 weeks and no improvement. It's still itchy for him and he will scratch until it bleeds. Anyone else's baby has the same issue? What worked or helped your baby?

You can see Shopee. Quality is good and pricing is reasonable. I always just get the bigger size for longer mileage because babies grow fast. If not I always have to buy new clothes like what you are doing now 😅 My baby is 8 months old and I am already letting him wear minimum of 18 months sizing.

Are you breastfeeding? Breastfed babies usually poop a lot of times in a day. The colour looks normal to me, same as my baby poop colour 🤔 However, if you’re concerned, do consult a PD!

Contraception after giving birth

Hi mummies! Did your gynae keep talking about contraception options? What are the options you are considering? Im thinking of the implant one. But a bit scared i dont know why. Haha.

I had inplanon and iud before. Implanon was just a pinch on your arm. IUD insertion hurts. Implanon made my hormones crazy. Easily angry, upset, gaining weight, losing hair, irregular period. IUD was very nice to my hormones. I was chill, loved it . Period was really regular. Implanon removal hurts slightly more than a pinch cause after a few years it gets stuck to your flesh, hence a bit harder to remove. IUD removal hurts like a bij. Very very uncomfortable. BUT each person is different, maybe you'll go through differently except for the insert and removal part. It's mostly the same feeling.

Is it normal to still have sore nipples 1mth PP and ok to wear silver cups 24/7?

I’m reaching my post partum 1 month mark and I’m exclusively pumping. However I still feel that my nipples are very sore to be touched by my bra and is wearing my silver cups 24/7. Is it normal to wear silver cups for such a long duration? And normal for nips to still be sore after 1 month mark?

Breast milk storage

FTM, want to ask if anyone encounter freezing the breast milk in the freezer but it does not freeze after 1 day even though the temperature stated is -19 degree Celsius. It is cold and the breast milk is like liquid format changing to semi solid in a way. Quantity is about 100-150 ml per package. Is it still safe for baby c consumption ?

Bm can be kept in the fridge for 2-3 days, so your 1 day old milk will still be safe for consumption. To be safe, you can do a smell and taste test first (taste test is more accurate as the lipase in your bm do affect the smell after milk is fridged/freezed) . If it taste sour, best to discard or you can use as milk bath. For storage, try to lay it flat without stacking or anything near it.
