Hoping to Induce

Any NUH subsidised patient tried asking if can be induce ? Did doc allow? Just feels so achy everywhr and I am small size, don’t really want to have a big baby to push out. I am 40 weeks soon.

Usually doctors will do their checks and determine if inducing is safe for mommy and child. Inducing before the body is ready can be dangerous for mommy and child. Hope all goes well for you, safe delivery! 🫶🏻

Sharp pain on the left

Currently 39wks 4 days. I’ve been getting sharp pains on my left breast/ribcage whenever I’m lying on my left side, but i don’t get any lying on my right. Is it because my left breast is still developing or the baby’s foot is there? I hope the baby is doing fine since im lying on my right side most of the time now. #firsttimemom #paranoidmom

likely because baby’s foot is there. i experience it too, baby rubbing it’s feet near the ribs

Low fetal weight gain

Hi mummies is it normal for baby's weight to slow down at week 35? Baby is only measuring 2.3kg now and is this cause for concern if it continues?

My baby’s weight dropped instead at week 34 (from 2.4kg to 2.1~2.2KG). Baby came out at 40.3 weeks 2.6KG. Healthy and low jaundice, no other conditions :) Gynae asked me to spam more calories to try and increase baby’s weight. I had 10-15 egg whites daily (hated eggs after that) and a lot of chicken breast as I didn’t wanna go with the junk foods. If gynae never raise any issues, then don’t worry too much.

Any mummies delivered yet? 😆 I'm so nervous! Care to share your experience??

I delivered my recent on Feb 2023. But, if you are speaking from experience, both kids exceed EDD. Didn't go as plan for labour. But, all was smooth and both kids are healthy. If you are first time mum, it is nervous. For me, I follow my motherly instinct, calm my mind and my heart, breathing technic must be good. No panic (if you are panic, you will be more anxious, can't focus well). Don't lift up your butt when you push neither make noises. First labour husband was not with me but my second he is with me. If you have high pain tolerance level, good for you. But if you can't and you need to take in jab on thigh, gas, epidural, then take it. Do not suffer and be too long in labour. Why? Anything can happened to you and baby. As much as possible to avoide C section. All the best!! Remember in the ward just doctor, midwife, nurse, you and spouse. Do it together and finish the labour well.

Annoyed with work!

Work doesn't want to let me do a proper handover! I been trying to do a handover of work to my colleagues but nobody wants to accept it readily. My bosses are really useful, I have to remind them that I will be away soon every single week, yet they keep asking me to do more stuff. It's time I do lesser and starting teaching others the ropes. I been advocating this but it's falling on deaf ears. I am handling my handover myself when my reporting officer should at least check in with me to see how it's going.

Have u gone on ML now? how's your handover? yeah I'm feeling the same like u right now. 🥴my mgr refuse to take my job till I leave.

KKH ward a or b1

Hi does anyone knows how much do we need to pay cash or can pay by medisave for private ward a or b1? Can partner stay overnight with us?

think have to pay deposit first then deduct medisave after stay. only A ward partner can stay

Any mummies already given birth at kkh? What are the things you got for free under the hospital?

I wonder how the bags look like for baby born 2023... Back in 2019 ,,I got a blue backpack.

I just gave birth in kkh, 2 weeks back. The freebie items are currently oos. They will give you a leaflet to scan QR code, for you to put in your details and all. And state that they will send the freebies few months later.

Any other mummy who is tired of being pregnant?

I'm in the home stretch already and obviously it doesn't mean I want to deliver prematurely, but I feel so uncomfortable all day and I miss my non-pregnant life. Doesn't help that my husband wants to go out drinking with his friends and can exercise anytime he wants. I feel like I am left out of his fun life because of my pregnant life.

yes i’m tired too. also july. so sick of it and i have a toddler that i can’t run around after too.

Is this Mucus plug?

Hi Mommies I'm currently 36 weeks + 3 . May I know if this is mucus plug? Sorry for the gross pic. Should I just wait till there is a contraction or get it check immediately at the hospital?

Yeast infection

Does anyone have yeast infection and itchy symptoms? The pessary that the doctor prescribed doesn't seem to be working, b'cos I still feel itchy. Any advice on how to alleviate the symptoms?
