Been having mild pains in the upper belly area, currently 35 weeks pregnant. Also it's been two days that i'm having diarrhea. Is this a sign of labour is near?

Transverse baby

Hi, im 34 weeks pregnant and baby is transverse 🥲 anyone have experience if baby will turn head down at a later time just before birth?

i went for scanning at 34 week... same baby head is transverse . at 36 week went again... baby has turn ..and is in position . my maternity massage lady advice me go to swimming pool near the shallow edge... stand in the water and bend down. using the pool water as gravity will give baby space to turn. but again is still up to baby .. and feel not safe dont do.

What to pack for Hospital Bag?

Gonna deliver in KKH. Does anyone knows what exactly to pack ...? Pls advice thanks! #1sttimemom

Hi hi normally KKH will provide you with maternity underwear, maternity pads and diapers for baby all that you just need to pack toiletries for yourself (e.g for showering and brushing teeth), clothes and underwear for you and clothes for baby when going home, breast pump if you intend to pump there (optional though) and towel or blanket if you need to shower or cover yourself with. The rest KKH will provide such as nipple cream etc…

Fight with my mum. Need advice from muslim mums.

I am a muslim, counting days to give birth. But my mum recently picked a fight with me and block me for no reason. (I wasnt event texting or talking to her about anything and suddenly she blocked and msg me super long) I am confused. I heard people say that i will have a bad labour experience if i fight with my parents. The thing is i dont even do anything. Isit true i will feel more pain and susah nak beranak? Please any muslim mummies can help me?

Just seek forgiveness before the day comes eventhou you are confused. pray to Allah s.w.t to ease the labour journey... 😊

C Section Tips

Hello! Might have to do elective c section as baby still breech at 37 weeks. Mummies who have gone through c section, what are your best tips? Anything from postpartum essentials to recovery to long-term recovery (scarring, overhang etc) 🥺 #firsttimemom

Bring a straw to the hospital for drinking water, so you don’t have to sit up right to do it. Get the nurse to measure your waist and buy a belly support wrap at the hospital. It helps to support and secure your stomach. Apply scar gel religiously. Take painkillers, it helps. Generally, my recovery was a smooth one. Nothing much to worry about. All the best to you!

KKH Induce Cost

hello mummies! would love to know what is the estimated cost if we need to induce in KKH - cash or medisave? thanks in advance!

Hi it depends on whether you are going the private route or subsidised route. Normally private route can use a combination of Medisave and cash, for subsidised most of it is from Medisave. You can check with the billing department if you are in the delivery ward about the costs.

Preparing for delivery

Hello mommies, it’s our turn to deliver soon and I’m feeling nervous 🥲 I am a first time mom and I don’t know what to expect or what will happen when the day comes. I’m afraid it will be painful and I will start to cry. How do you prepare yourself for delivery mentally and physically? 😞 what are the active labour signs you have experienced when baby is coming? #firsttimemom

It varies for individuals, usually contractions hit or when your water bag burst, you still have time to eat and shower before heading to hospital. For my case, I didn’t have any contractions or prelabour symptoms, my waterbag didn’t break till before birth and I was induced (overdue and low fluid). It’s okay to cry, I cried too cause I didn’t know what is gonna happen but the nurses were assuring and nice to me. My entire labour was considered fast and painless (I took whatever pain relievers that were available), the pain only hits me 12 hours later but I managed to sleep thru it. Prepare your hospital bag, IC and all the necessary forms so you can just grab and go. Time your contractions and don’t wait till last minute to go hospital so you can still give yourself some time to absorb whatever is going on. The obvious signs of labour are intermittent contractions and water bag breaking. Also, you might lose your mucus plug a few weeks to days, increased diarrhoea before labour. In the meantime, like I always advise my friends is, don’t go and read up on people’s birth stories or process. You’re just gonna scare yourself out. Wishing you a smooth delivery! ☺️

Rib pain on left side 😩

Hii ladies, isit normal for only my left rib to hurt so badly? Like i can barely sit properly for 3mins without it hurting me... when i laydown it hurts abit too... the pain is just unbearable 😭 helps

I get that too sometimes when I lie on my left side to sleep too! Changing positions helped me, I haven't been able to ask my gynae yet as I'm waiting for my next appointment!
