Should I Induce when I’ve no labour signs?

Hi, I’m at 39 weeks with no signs of labour and not dilated. Gynae suggested induction, I think because she is not available during my EDD next week. Is this recommended? Does induction without any labour signs increase risk of emergency c sect and baby distress? Is induction safer when there are already labour signs / dilation?

I would say, induce only if baby is in distress or any other conditions. Do note that should you opt for induce and fail to dilate after 3 pills, you will need to E-Csect. I was induced as baby’s fluid was low (she was overdue), even so, I wasn’t dilating at all. Thankfully i managed to dilate within the first pill. I only learnt about the Ecsect thing after I gave birth lol! Ultimately it’s up to you. If you only want that specific gynae to give birth for you, then take her advise. Otherwise if all is good and okay with other gynae, then I’d suggest to wait.

Breathing newborn

Hi mommies! My baby is 2 weeks old today. I noticed that she sleeps soundly. Now, her breathing sound seems to be quite fast. It’s so scary. #advicepls #firsttimemom

Baby's trynna learn how to breathe. It is normal they have grunting gagging sound. If you are worried, you may raise QnA upon baby check during appt.

5 days PP and my milk hasn’t kicked in :( feeling so discouraged. Any tips? #pleasehelp

I did not have any breastmilk until 1 week+ pp so don’t worry so much ! My lactation nurse advise me to massage it everyday to stimulate the milk flow and try to drink green papaya fish soup it helps with breastmilk production.

38 weeks Persistant cramps

I have been feeling persistant period like cramps for about 24/7 now texted my gynae and she ask me to go to KKH.. no dilation no contraction etc so they send me back Anyone have similar symptoms? and if yes how long later did u go into labour? cramps is there despite change of position and dull backache(no discharge, no bloody show)

Struggling with Spectra S1 pump as a new mum

I was gifted a S1+ pump. Baby born on 10 march and was told to feed/pump every 3hours but I don’t know how to use the pump. Can anyone add me into a mummys whatsapp group to ask? 🥲🥲

Induce at week 39?

Hi fellow mommies, I am a sub patient at KKH currently week 37+2, and will be going for weekly checkups starting from this Tuesday. Doctor has asked me to consider about inducing at week 39 on my check up two weeks ago. Is this common? Even though everything is all good in my pregnancy? Personally I do not mind inducing earlier at week 39. But am wondering, what are the pros and cons if any. I will like to go for a natural birth too. Will inducing increase or decrease chances of a natural birth?

I’m currently getting induced. I don’t like this at all. Wish I waited abit longer. I suggest you wait.
