- 2024-10-22Mom, I'm currently 7 months pregnant... the doctor said my weight is already excessive. I'm advised to diet and especially stop eating sweets. I don't know why, but I just can't... I can't give up my favorite ice cream and chocolate. My husband gets angry all the time; he says I don't care about our baby. It's not like that... it's just that if I don't eat something sweet, I feel dizzy and I keep craving it.
- 2024-10-22Hi Moms... I’m really disappointed right now... it turns out my husband has autism, although it’s a mild level... but he never told me this before. I never suspected anything because I didn’t feel like there was anything wrong. Sometimes his behavior was a bit strange, but I thought that’s just how he is. I saw it as just his quirks.
It’s not that I don’t want to accept him, but now I’m pregnant with his child and I’m so scared that his autism will be passed down to our baby. I’m not ready. What should I do, moms? 😭😭
- 2024-10-22Hi mummies, I’m now in my wk30, and have been experiencing increasing frequency of the stomach tightening feeling. It can be 2-3 times an hour, or when I stand up, it is accompanied by a strong urge to pee, tight belly and can feel stiff to walk. Is this normal?
Is the stomach tightening feeling considered braxton hicks? Worried that I’m experiencing it at this frequency too early…
(Experiencing the stomach tightening feeling as I am typing this :”))

- 2024-10-23Hi I’m planning to stop breastfeeding very soon and I’m wondering if any mum has taken medication to stop breastmilk production?
Are there any side effects? Will it reduce the size of your pre-pregnancy breasts too?
Thanks in advance. #firsttiimemom #breastfeeding #firstimemom #firstTime_mom
- 2024-10-23Is it normal to feel lightheaded and fainting spells during your first trimester? Other symptoms I experienced include feeling shortness of breath, dark vision, breaking out in full sweat, and heaviness of body. It gets better after I’m seated with my head low, but it just doesn’t feel good.
I have history of low BP in the past but this usually only happens like once a year, but now it has happened to me for the past 2 mornings while I’m in the train commuting to work. Should I be worried? Does it warrant medical attention?

- 2024-10-23Not sure if I am being delusional or what, but my instincts tell me I'm pregnant? I did check with a pregnancy test so far it's negative. But I'm still a week away from my period. Thus I think it's early? Or could be a cheap pregnancy test that I got from shopeee? Honestly I don't want to invest so much on pregnancy test as it's too expensive.
But I've been having these symptoms, cramps on one side, dizziness and my sense of smell is so strong.
I rarely have cramps on one side, so it's odd that this month I had it and been having for a few days. On and off
When I was pregnant with my first, I didn't know I was pregnant till I hit 7 weeks. And my symptoms weren't as bad, only fatigue.
Honestly I don't want to expect anything , but sometimes it's kinda sad that it's one line. Me and my husband don't really plan to have a baby, as we believe it will happen when it's a good time.

- 2024-10-23Hi, I gave birth last month but a major surgery classical c-section. I had to remove my uterus die to placenta already stick to my womd and invading to my bladder. I had used catheter for the past 1 month due to my bladder leaking. I did a ct scan, and it shows there's holes in my bladder, which is why it's leaking. Does anyone encounter this before the leaking part? Does the holes can it heals by itself? Because I'm worried about going back to the surgery to stitch back the bladder again because I just recover from the c-sec wound

- 2024-10-23Any advice on how to tighten loose skin and lose the ‘mum bulge’ after a C-section? I’m 41kg, so it’s not about losing weight, just trying to firm up the lower belly area. I’m not interested in fat freezing, so I’d love to hear about non-surgical treatments, exercises, or any other methods that worked for you! Thanks :)

My boobs is uneven, stretched marks all over my body and everyday eating feels like a chore because im just eating for the sake of my child (breastfeeding). And the pregnancy brain. How do I get rid of it? I’ve nvr felt so blur so weak so forgetful before in my whole entire life……….
Please help I wanna love myself again.

- 2024-10-24Curious for other families. If you and your husb have almost similar income, do you go 50-50 on all the hosp and medical bills or do the husb contribute more since we are the 1 carrying a the baby.
Right now I am also going on hospital visits alone and husb only goes on "important" scans. As I am the 1 doing hospital trips by myself, which is tiring just driving to and fro and as I am high risk, I need to go down more frequently. And I am also the 1 going thru all preggy changes and symptoms. I am not complaining but curious to how other couples manage and share their baby finances and see which are good and useful to adopt.

- 2024-10-24Hey mummies, how much weight gain throughout pregnancy is considered normal or healthy? I’m only just 6 weeks pregnant but have gained quite a bit of weight that I’m starting to feel insecure about my body already and fear for the next 34 weeks to come..
I used to engage in intermittent fasting (16-8) and workout quite a bit (HIIT and strength training mainly), but was told to refrain from any of these during pregnancy.
So now I try to briskwalk on treadmill and do light stretches instead, and snack on fruits, yogurt, and granola oats in between meals.. but my weight has gained from 49kg > 53kg… I don’t think it’s normal to be gaining 4kg at just 6 weeks. Any advice??

- 2024-10-25Hi, i've never been this late for my period. I have a 5 month old baby, no longer bf. Already 9 days late period, is it possible that it's too early to detect positive pregnancy tests? Tested negative on day 3 and day 7 of late period.

- 2024-10-25As parents in Singapore, many of us are no strangers to the pressures our children face in school. Among the various subjects, math seems to be a perennial challenge for students at all levels. With the rigorous education system in Singapore, many students find themselves struggling to grasp complex mathematical concepts, especially as they transition to higher levels. The pressure is not only on students but also on parents, who feel the weight of ensuring their children succeed academically.
The Growing Struggle with Math
Math is often perceived as one of the most difficult subjects by students in Singapore. Whether it’s primary school students grappling with foundational concepts like whole numbers and fractions, or secondary students navigating the complexities of algebra and geometry, the struggle is real. Many parents watch as their children lose confidence and motivation due to the demands of the curriculum. For students preparing for major exams like the PSLE or O-Levels, the stress is amplified, leaving parents unsure of how best to support their children.
The challenge doesn’t end with academic understanding. Students often make careless mistakes under time pressure or misinterpret questions in the exam setting, leading to frustration. Parents find themselves at a crossroads: Do they offer more tuition, or do they risk overwhelming their child?
Why Personalised Tutoring is Key
This is where a structured and supportive math tuition approach becomes critical. At Daniel’s Math Tuition, we understand the difficulties that both students and parents face. Daniel has over a decade of experience in helping students rebuild their confidence in math through tailored lessons. His approach is based on identifying individual weaknesses and guiding students towards understanding the subject, rather than rote memorization.
Through Daniel’s Math Tuition, students are encouraged to ask questions freely, practice regularly, and overcome their fear of making mistakes. We aim not only to improve students’ math grades but also to instill a sense of achievement and enjoyment in solving problems.
Working Hand-in-Hand with Parents
As a parent, your role is just as crucial in your child’s academic journey. While it’s natural to feel anxious about their performance, Daniel works closely with parents to ensure a collaborative approach. Regular updates on your child’s progress, coupled with an open line of communication, ensure that parents are always in the loop. We know that every child is different, which is why flexibility and patience are key elements of Daniel’s teaching method.
At Daniel’s Math Tuition, we understand that parenting is difficult, especially when it comes to academic pressure. Our goal is to alleviate some of that pressure by providing effective support for your child’s math learning.

- 2024-10-26I'm struggling with postpartum feelings, and my friends and mom said I might be experiencing postpartum depression.
I often feel agitated with my husband's behavior and my mother-in-law. Living with my mom, I feel she and my siblings handle the baby with more care.
When I visit my mother-in-law's house, it's very loud, and they often carry my baby around, which sometimes startles her. They take her into a room, claiming it's cooler there with the air conditioning, but it feels too much to me “kidnapping” my child away and when my baby cry they didn’t pass my baby to me instead trying to soothe her. I’ve expressed my discomfort to my husband, but he insists it's okay since they only see our baby once a week. He thinks I'm being unfair because my family has more time with her. At home, they treat the baby like a toy, passing her around like it’s nothing. I often dread going there and worry about how our baby is being handled.
Since my postpartum period began over a month ago, I feel like my husband hasn’t been very supportive. He spends a lot of time playing games and only changes diapers when I ask him to, and even then, he sometimes delays. He’s seen me struggling with back pain and me complaining how it hurts but has criticized me for not using a binder, which adds to my frustration. Whenever I express to him that I’m tired and he’s not helping, he said “are you complaining? If you’re tired I can takecare of baby”
Additionally, he often makes our baby cry, and instead of comforting her, he tells her to "use her words" instead of crying. My sister-in-law does the same. It’s frustrating to hear that when our baby is just a newborn and cannot communicate that way. When she cries, they playfully scold her rather than trying to soothe her right away. Sometimes I feel like telling him to leave me and my baby. I can survive being a single mother.
Is this what postpartum depression are like, or am I just overreacting to everything?
