- 2024-09-16Im at my 6th week of pregnancy, experiencing nausea and bloatedness everyday. I get hungry so quickly too and if i dont eat my tummy will be bloated. And i crave for sweet food all the time. I dont know what food will surpressed this feeling. Is this normal?
- 2024-09-16My legs start to get swollen during 25 weeks..is there any ways to reduce the swollenness?
- 2024-09-16Just venting my anger. My LO’s one year old birthday, we ordered specially designed cake to celebrate on his actual day. Ended up, just because my BIL didn’t wanna come over to celebrate, his whole family didn’t turn up. We have to cut the cake just me n my hubby n baby. Luckily I didn’t order any food (some women’s instinct). I will not arrange anymore birthdays. What a lousy MIL I have. She grumbles all the time, why didn’t I bring baby to her place every week, when she doesn’t even play with baby. Her hse is full of cigarettes smell + dust (hoarder). Yet when I asked her, why dun u come over, her reply was she’s lazy. ARGH.
- 2024-09-16Hey, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and experiencing significant pain in my pubic bone area when I walk or seat also. This makes my daily commute difficult and my work situation even worse. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Did your doctor advise taking a hospital leave for rest?
- 2024-09-16I have been feeling dizzy almost every day since week 32 and it usually happens in the afternoon around lunch time or after lunch. I feel lightheaded and heart racing many times but it's usually worse in the afternoon. Once I had blurry vision and cold sweat along with the dizziness while resting in bed, so I turn to my left side with my head slightly elevated and fell asleep. Few hours later it was ok but it's a scary experience.
I have low hb on my last gynae appt (around 9.2) 2 weeks ago and have started taking iron since. Next week will be my follow up.
Anyone have experienced the same? How do you deal with it?
- 2024-09-16Hi mummies, I’ve been feeling so unwell and nauseous the whole time. Sometimes even heartburn.. went to visit a doctor and was prescribed with some medication. It doesn’t help at all after taking those med🤢…

She's weighing 1.225kg as of today and my gynae did mention she's small and would like to do a detailed growth scan. Can mummies advice if baby was weighing around the same at around the same gestational week? Thank you! To note, I am 148CM and my husband is 165CM.

- 2024-09-17I have a boy and a girl, and am not planning to have anymore kids. My breaststroke has become...less appealing to me after breastfeeding.
My husband says he doesn't mind but he look at other women with big boobs.. For my own self esteem, I wish they weren't as deflated and were perkier and firmer closer to what they used to be.
I don't want to have plastic surgery to fix them partially because of the pain and risk, but also because I know that it's not as simple as it's made out to be and you need to replace implants every so often (can't remember exactly, but I know it's years, enough times for it to seem inconvenient). And just imagining a botched breast lift scares me..
Anyway, I recently came across a supplement by Holistic Way called “Bust Blossom”. It allegedly helps to nourish breast tissue and maintaining firmness of the bust. I looked at the review in shopee, some say it does benefit them. If anyone here has taken it or has knowledge of the ingredients and any other recommendations, please advise me! 🙏🏻
I'd like to find something that helps me feel better about the physical appearance of my breasts, but if this wouldn't work I wouldn't be totally defeated because they were caused by pregnancy/breastfeeding of both my wonderful kids and my husband knows this and still finds every opportunity to show me how much he still finds me attractive and loves me.
- 2024-09-17Currectly 30+5 weeks. Having more brown stain 9n my pantiliner. Is this normal?
- 2024-09-17Waiting for my NIPT results done last week and I’m so anxious :( anyone knows how long KKH takes to call you if it’s bad results? Thanks!
- 2024-09-17The fan does not oscillate so the direction you set it is fixed.
- 2024-09-18Hello mommy, I was wondering if it is a must to get a gift when attending full month or 100 days celebration? If yes, what would you all get?
- 2024-09-18Hi everyone, I’m a first-time mum-to-be and I’m just over 35 years old. I recently had my first ultrasound at 5 weeks, and the doctor said they could only see the gestational sac.
Currently, I don’t have many symptoms, except for occasional light-headedness, heartburn, bloating, and my body temperature being over 37°C.
I’m wondering if this is normal? Does this count as being pregnant? What should I look out for?#firstmom #FirstTime #firsttimemom #pregnancy

- 2024-09-18Hello mummies,
I call my baby by his English name, while my mother-in-law calls him by his Chinese nickname (also because she can't pronounce his English name). My mother-in-law is the one mostly taking care of him while I’m at work. I’m worried that having two names might confuse him, and he might ended up not respond to his name by a certain age.
Mummies do you all call your baby by both real name or nickname? Which name did your baby end up responding to? Any advice for my situation? Should i just follow my MIL and call him by his nickname
- 2024-09-18I've noticed that my 3-month-old baby has been screaming (not crying) a lot recently when i put him on bed. Also, my baby tends to push himself backward when I'm burping or feeding him. Have any other moms dealt with these two situations? Is this normal
- 2024-09-18Hi Mummies, just had a transvaginal scan at the doctor’s and we found that the heartbeat is very weak at week 7+1. Doctor is very concern and said to bed rest for 3 days before going back to him. I am very affected by this and would like to seek console / advise from other mummies if there is a still chance my baby’s heartbeat will get stronger soon? 🙏🏻

- 2024-09-19Home security has evolved beyond traditional locks and keys. Digital locks, which provide keyless entry and advanced security features, have become a popular option for many homeowners. If you’re wondering whether you should opt for a digital lock for your HDB door, it’s essential to weigh the benefits, security features, and considerations that come with this choice.
Enhanced Security
One of the primary reasons to consider a digital lock for your HDB door is the enhanced level of security it provides. Traditional locks can be picked, and keys can be lost or copied, posing a potential security risk. On the other hand, digital locks often come with advanced security features like biometric authentication (fingerprint scanning), PIN codes, RFID cards, or even smartphone access. These systems make it more difficult for intruders to gain access to your home, providing you with peace of mind.
Additionally, some digital locks offer activity logs, allowing you to track when and by whom your door was accessed. This feature is particularly useful for households with multiple occupants, as it adds an extra layer of transparency to your home’s security.
Convenience of Keyless Entry
Another significant advantage of digital locks is the convenience of keyless entry. With a digital lock on your HDB door, you no longer have to worry about carrying keys or misplacing them. Whether you use a PIN code, fingerprint, or smartphone app to unlock the door, accessing your home becomes more convenient and hassle-free.
Digital locks also benefit families with children, elderly individuals, or tenants. Instead of managing multiple sets of keys, you can assign individual access codes or fingerprints, which can be easily changed if needed. This flexibility adds convenience, especially in a busy household.
Aesthetic Appeal and Modern Design
Digital locks often come with sleek, modern designs that enhance the look of your HDB door. Whether you’re renovating your home or simply looking to upgrade its security, a digital lock can add a touch of modernity to your entrance. With a variety of styles and finishes available, you can choose a lock that complements the design of your door and matches your personal preferences.
Smart Home Integration
Many digital locks can be integrated into smart home systems, allowing you to control your HDB door remotely. This feature is particularly useful for those who travel frequently or manage rental properties. With a smartphone app, you can lock or unlock your door from anywhere, giving you full control over your home’s security even when you’re not physically present. You can also receive real-time notifications about door activity, enhancing your home security.
Considerations Before Opting for a Digital Lock
While digital locks offer many advantages, there are a few factors to consider before making the switch for your HDB door.
- Cost: Digital locks tend to be more expensive than traditional locks. Prices vary depending on the features, brand, and installation costs. However, many homeowners find that the added security and convenience justify the investment.
- Power Source: Digital locks run on batteries, so you’ll need to ensure that the lock has sufficient power at all times. Most digital locks provide low-battery warnings and have backup power options like a physical key or external battery in case of emergency. Nonetheless, it’s essential to be mindful of battery life.
- HDB Regulations: Before installing a digital lock, it’s important to check with HDB guidelines to ensure compliance. While most digital locks are allowed for HDB doors, it’s crucial to choose a model that doesn’t violate fire safety or other regulations.
Conclusion
Opting for a digital lock for your HDB door is a decision that offers numerous benefits, including enhanced security, keyless convenience, and modern aesthetics. With advanced features like fingerprint recognition, PIN codes, and smart home integration, digital locks provide a higher level of protection than traditional options. However, it’s essential to consider factors like cost, battery maintenance, and HDB regulations before making the switch.
Ultimately, if you’re looking to upgrade your home’s security and enjoy the convenience of keyless entry, a digital lock is a worthwhile investment for your HDB door

- 2024-09-19Hi any mummies here has done induction at TMC? Was told by my gynae that she will schedule induction for me as my water level is low. I just want to check do they do the induction in the observation ward and I have to stay there until I’m in labour then move to delivery ward? I’m 0cm dilated so it will take 1 or 2 days to dilate fully. I am wondering will they charge me by the room rates that I will be choosing or the observation/delivery ward rate?
I only thought of this after I left the clinic so would like to know more before my scheduled date. Thank you!!!
- 2024-09-19Is 37.4 consider fever for a 1 month , 9 days old? If yes what should I do?
- 2024-09-19Hi guys I have a few questions to ask as I don’t really know who to ask… my family is not very traditional but I still want to do it.
1. Can me and bb wear black on the day itself?
2. Red eggs and ang ku kueh is a must…what about cake? Do I need to buy a cake? If yes what kind? The birthday cake kind or those small small pieces?
3. What am I supposed to do with the red egg and ang ku kueh…am I supposed to put it on a serving Tray for guests to take and eat themselves or am I supposed to buy individual packs and let them bring home?
Tho individual packs prices are not on the friendlier side
4. Is ginger a must? What am I supposed to do with it….
Pls help!!! Thanks!
Ok this one not important but does it matter if I order my balloons as “baby 1st month “ instead of baby full month? I genuinely think 1st month sounds btr but I think traditionally full month is the correct way to go

- 2024-09-20Hi mummies, So PD has confirmed tt my bby has CMPA. Today is my first day going on dairy free. Would it be better if i continue to breastfeed bby or better to pump & discard my milk for a few days before i breastfeed bby? I tried breastfeeding bby today & bby pass out loose stools due to the allergy. How long does a cow milk protein stay in breastmilk? If i pumped out, does it make a difference?

- 2024-09-20I am about to return to work soon & will stop BF. I have a stash of breast milk in the feeezer that will probably only last for half a month at most. Should I alternatle between formula and breastmilk (1 formula, 1 breastmilk, 1 formula, 1 breastmilk and so on throughout the day) or should I use up all my breast milk before fully switching to formula? - 2024-09-20Hi mummies,
I recently went through a worrying experience during early pregnancy that I wanted to share, especially for moms with endometriosis.
One evening, I had bloating, cramps, and gas after dinner, which I initially thought was normal. The next morning, I felt nauseous, followed by several hours of diarrhea. Concerned, I consulted a gynecologist.
Dr. Tan at PK Women’s Specialist & Gynae Clinic explained that diarrhea in the first trimester can be risky, especially for those with endometriosis, as it could lead to complications. A scan showed my baby was fine, and I was prescribed probiotics and Utrogestan to secure the pregnancy.
My Advice:
• If you experience diarrhea, nausea, or fever in early pregnancy, don’t hesitate—see a doctor.
• Avoid coconut milk, dairy milk, and leftover food, as they can upset your sensitive stomach and trigger diarrhea.
I hope this helps! Use this as a guide, but always trust your mummy instincts—they are powerful and often spot on. Stay strong, mummies! ❤️
- 2024-09-20This is my second marriage, and throughout my experience, I was pregnant, I feel both husbands don't show me moral support during my pregnancy journey and this is the reason why i keep telling people this going to be the last pregnancy. I'm 17 weeks now, and this is my second child.
Somedays, i had a sleepless night with tummy pain and lower back aching that felt like contraction. Sometimes, i even wake my husband up to help me comfort by rubbing my tummy and lower back. But his gesture and words of unsupportive response just caused me more stress and emotional such as "go hospital lah,if still pain like this."
I'm overwhelmed sometimes. As i have 3 years old daughter, I have to handle all by myself while pregnant. I decided to stay home as house wife as for now so that my husband doesn't feel overwhelmed with my daughter as we are only 5 months married (So i understand both(my daughter & husband) transition with each other daily routine) All decisions i made are for my husband, but it seems like my effort is not seen by him.
In-laws, families & friends keep saying i should continue to plan to have a child since I'm only 24 years old this year old. To them, I'm still young. But why can't these people see that men are the main reason why some women don't want to conceive anymore due to lack of support and comfort during the pregnancy!
#Stopnormalisingyoungpeopleaseasyconceive!
- 2024-09-20Trying to plan where to put CCTV since we are getting a helper, and was thinking to use one of them as baby monitor.
