BCG vaccine

Yung anak ko po sa singit tinurukan ng vaccine sa ospital. Sa pgkakaalam ko BCG yun. D man lang ako tinanong for my consent. Bkit po kaya sa singit itinurok?

You should have asked kung ano yung vaccine. Upon birth nabibigay din ng Hepa B vaccine and yun tinuturok sa hita. And if BCG yung tinurok sa kanya, underneath the skin lng yung pagkakaturok nun. Mababaw so, it should left a mark on the skin.

Oh ok. Probably you can ask her when you bring your baby for wellness check-up. I don't think na BCG yun. Most likely it's Hepa B vaccine. Apart from Hepa B, upon birth nagtuturok din kay baby ng Vit. K to prevent bleeding. As long as di naman na infection or nilagnat si baby, it's fine. It's normal for moms to be protective. Just ask your pedia na lang next time.
