Unboosted & Covid + on week 18

Hi wonderful mummies! I’ve just found out that I’m covid + today & experiencing fever, dry throat & body aches. I can’t help but to feel helpless & immenselyguilty for not getting boosted earlier. 😞 I was going to seek advise with my Gynae on this for our upcoming appointment on Apr 19th but unfortunately, I got covid instead & had to reschedule instead 😞 Can I check if I’m able to take paracetamol prescribe by the clinic? I’m trying to let my body heal naturally but if my fever persists & goes beyond 38 degrees. I’ll have to take the paracetamol. Any mummies here who are in the same boat as me? Or have gone through the same experiences? Any advises to share? Greatly appreciate your input to make me feel better. 💕

Hello! I had covid when I was week 18 too. Had mild fever for a day, flu and sore throat. Felt bad that I was not boosted as well. I just slept through the first few days, drank lots of water and felt much better on the 4th day. I only took the prescribed medicine (Panadol, flu meds & cough syrup) once cos I was afraid of the side effects on baby. Anw I also told the doctor I was pregnant so he said he’ll prescribe pregnancy safe medicine. There was a telemedicine doctor who called on the 1st & 3rd day to ensure that everything is ok. After I recovered, I went for my week 20 scan and gynae said everything was fine. I’m on my week 23 now. Take care and rest well! Don’t worry too much, you’ll be ok! 💪🏼

Heartfelt thanks for your reply! It gives me great assurance that baby will be ok! 🥺💕 I had fever of 38.5 consistently & took paracetamol twice. Husband gotta sponge me couple of times to try reduce the temp as our main concern is the baby.

paracetamol wont harm the baby. dont get the extra panadol, get the regular one. honestly, even if you got the shot you will still have covid haha

Was hoping hard to not get covid being unboosted & was waiting for the expiration of my vaccination status on 29 April then I will go for it (due to no choice). But yeah, quite unfortunate 😅
