Alyssa Valdez is a very good role model for kids.. I watched her as a rookie volleyball player then evolved into the ace of the Lady Eagles and went on to be a national player for the Philippines. She plays despite having few injuries that significantly damages her performance but still, she gives more pride to the team in each game! I saw how dedicated she is about her sport, about her team and about inspiring others. She is a multi awarded athlete for being so passionate and persistent about her goals.
I love the new crop of young athletes (turned celebrities) we see in mainstream Filipino media nowadays -- Gretchen Ho, Alyssa Valdez definitely top the list for me.
