During my first pregnancy, I chose my preferred gynae first (based on friends' recommendation and read up online reviews) and subsequently choose the hospital that the gynae will be delivered my baby. It happened that the gynae I wanted only delivered in NUH. I find NUH services are good and thus I stick to NUH. Also, due to the considerations of monetary issues in case baby is premature, public hospital will be a btter choice. Other considerations include distance which I find it is very crucial. I am glad that I chose hospital that is nearer to my house otherwise I might have delivered my 2nd baby on the way to the hospital. My labors for both kids were very short. Also, if you choose hospital that is near and convenient, it will help to save the time and journey cost during prenatal visits.

I'll list down as below: - I found out I was pregnant at 15 weeks, 3 months after my etopic surgery despite listening to doctor's orders not to try for another so soon and for practically, since my surgeron and specialist was at KK hospital, we decided to go with KK Hospital in case something urgent props up. - Neither of us were working for the government nor did we have any company benefits so we relied heavily on the grants and only paid $100+ cash for B2+ ward. The rest were claimable via mediasave. - KK Hospital was the nearest to our home and workplace so it was convinient.

Firstly, the hospital reputation. Then the quality of doctor. plus point if the hospital having complete medical tools or machine. You know, just in case ....:)

Trust in your Gynae. It should be the TOP factor :) Some gynaes only deliver in certain Hospitals so that will limit your choice.
