When to use flash and when not to use flash when taking picture of a baby? Thank you!

This was one of the first questions asked here in ParentTown :) And I'd like to share how I learned from one of the mum users here who kindly shared her knowledge: Mommy Jamie Koh - If so, then there would be a lot of blind babies around. I too was worried, but realised that it doesn't cause harm and definitely does not damage her eyes. I prefer to take photos without the flash on though.
