In general, the rate at which a baby start growing his/her first tooth varies. Typically, most will start teething is between six to 10 months. If your baby is 18 months and has yet to get his/her first tooth, you can consult a doctor if you are worried.
First Central incisor for lower teeth erupts around 6-10 months. You can refer to this chart for a guide on the months. It depends on individual baby when will their first tooth erupt.
Both of my kids had their first tooth at 4 months old, which is considered very early! I have friends whose babies only had their first tooth after 1 year old.
thanks
