There is no generally answer to "when" should you be bringing your baby out. Nowadays it is pretty common for babies to go to polyclinics and KK Hospital every few days after going back home to do blood tests for babies. However, do ensure that the baby is adequtely dressed. The generally rule of the thumb is that the baby should be wearing one more layer of clothing than you are. Just be aware of your surroundings as Singapore is a very warm place and our malls can be pretty cold. For me personally, after each polyclinic/hospital visit, I would go walk around and grab lunch first before heading back home. Occasionally, if I am too restless at home, I would walk around my neighbour with my baby sleeping in his stroller.

There is no strict rule on when you can bring your baby out. For me I brought my baby out on his 5th day to visit polyclinics for the mandatory Jaundice blood test. I have friend who brought her 9 days old out to Chinese New Year visiting. Most people will suggest bringing babies out only after they have taken their vaccination, The concern is that babies have lower immune system as compare to adults and the risk is that they may get infected by virus when they are exposed to more people. You may try to avoid going to crowded places when your baby is still young.

Baby has been out since birth since your baby was most probably born in a hospital. In the first 6 months of their lives, babies survive on the immunity of their mothers which were passed to them when in the womb. Hence immunity for newborns can be quite decent. It's more to your comfort level. Anyway in the first week your baby needs to leave the house to see the pediatrician as well and for other vaccinations along the way. I've also seen a 3 day old baby beside me in a Moses basket when I was at the salon. So I think it really doesn't matter.
