It is highly recommended that you breastfeed your baby for the first six months of her life. After that, you can start to give her different foods, as well as breastmilk. Most of my friends wait till their babies are atleast a year old before they start to wean baby off breastmilk. By one year old, their babies would have gotten used to solid foods and wanted lesser breastmilk as the days went by. So it became easier to stop breastfeeding altogether. However, if you plan to phase out breastfeeding before baby turns one, including formula milk will help if breastfeeding just does not cut it anymore.
