your baby is just 4 months old but yes, as Chetna mentioned, you can definitely go for mustard oil. it is one of the best massage oils for anyone, including babies, and as it also has antibacterial properties, it keeps the skin protected along with keeping it soft and nourished. however, if your baby has any dry patch on the skin, mustard oil will cause a burning sensation. so i would suggest first massage your baby using coconut oil for a week or two so that the skin is already nourished. you can then start massaging with mustard oil.

Hi, I don't know you believe in grandma's ways, but I do, and I think that the best oil for massage is mustard oil. You can use mustard oil for massage. But all you have to be careful about with this oil is do not massage the oil too hard, as it is hot in taaseer and may cause rashes. Also have a patch test, and see if your baby's skin likes the oil. As some babies' skin is sensitive and they get rashes with mustard oil. In that case, you can use, any baby oil that are available in the market. You can try pigeon's massage oil.

You can use coconut oil. I used to massage my kids with coconut oil throughout. I used house olive oil in winters. Olive oil is thick in consistency and provides moisture to the skin for longer time. You can also use almond oil as well. Buy the oils from a good company and read the ingredients well. And do not rub too hard as that is the only reason that your baby may get rashes.

You can use baby oils that are available in the market. Do not use olive oil in summers as some suggest, as it is warm and may cause rashes. Also it is too sticky for summers. Try baby oils from chicco, biotic, sebamed oil, dabur lal tel.

while i have definitely used coconut and mustard oil for massaging my baby, i have also sometimes massaged them using ghee for half an hour before the bath. it is a great way to keep baby's skin moisturized and add a nice glow to it.
