Monsoons are perhaps the best time for you to get your child acquainted with the beauty that is nature. In addition to organising indoor fun activities such as theme play dates, it’s a good idea to include activities where kids get a chance to go out and experience the rain. You can build small tents in the garden and let them play inside as the rains come down. You can even encourage your kids to enjoy a little rain dance and experience the first rain of the season. Take them out for long walks and soak in the fragrance of petrichor. You can even take them out to check out waterfalls or lakes near your area. In addition to learning about these places, it’s also a good opportunity to teach them about safety. Either way, monsoons are a great season to relish some home-cooked food, and some family time.

The first I would say is that let them get drenched in the monsoon shower. And rest, you can put them in any activity you think your kid has interest in. Playing football in the rain would be quite an experience for your kid. You can also help them plant some trees, or flower seeds. Monsoon is a good time to sow the plants. So, let them have fun and at the same time help in making the surroundings green. You can make paper boats with them and see them go in a puddle. Let them in the mud and get them the whole feeling of being close to nature. Let them be messy and muddy, sometimes you should let them be. After they are done, you can always turn them into a prince or a princess, you know that you are a pro in that. ;p

Monsoon camping is quite popular where u stay in waterproof tents in safe areas with ur kids and experience rain in its most natural form. My daughter had been to one and really loved it. We also make paper boats out of waste paper and put it in the water puddles. We also go for rain walks that we end with hot pakodas
