Respectful parenting, to name a few, is anchored with these tenets: - giving kids choices instead of commands - labelling behavior instead of the child - acceptance of emotions as a healthy way of communication, whether it's a positive or negative emotion. - guidance on how to express emotions properly - "me-time" between kid and adults; parents and kids are given needed space whenever they want to, especially during strong emotional outbursts - trust in whatever decision; good decisions are great, bad decisions is a learning in hiding.
