What is the right age to take your child to the eye doctor for a first visit. Some say 18 months and some say three years.

According to Singapore National Eye Centre, the recommended age for the first checkup is when the baby is six months old. A follow up screening should be done when baby turns three. My sister was diagnosed with lazy eye when she was a few months old and had to wear corrective lenses to help rectify the problem.
