We heard there's long waiting lists for preschools in SG. When do we have to start looking for a preschool?

If you are after something specific or one of the really popular ones then you need to start making enquiries as soon as....because there are wait lists...but usually you should be ok to look at others when your kid is a year old.

It depends. For schools which are highly popular, some mummies even start enquiring before their baby is born or once their baby is born. However, for most schools, you can start enquiring when your child turns 1yr old.

Try searching in ECDA and call up the preschool which you are interested in to find out more. https://www.ecda.gov.sg/pages/default.aspx

Private preschools will not be as difficult to get a slot vs the public preschools - usually you check a year in advance

Started as soon as my baby was born! Always good to start doing some research early!

thanks
