Why do you prefer to go anonymous when asking or answering a question?

I'm about to ask a TMI question and I feel nobody have to know it was me asking that kind of question.. as long as I bring no harm to other users, it should be okay to go anonymous

I don't go anonymous, unless yearly feedback for my leader in my team. our feedback system is already set for all of us as anonymous.
