Any tips for sending balik bayan boxes to the Philippines? I've heard many reports about shipping companies opening packages and stealing their contents. Also, what about the taxes at customs? How much do you have to pay them?

Johnny Air is a good cargo company. Fast and very reliable. They have a branch at SM Megamall and Gil Puyat Ave. However, I think they don't do home deliveries and you have to pick them up in their branch. We have tried Johnny Air once. If you prefer home deliveries, try Atlas. Our balikbayan boxes are delivered through them. Whenever we receive our boxes, it's still untampered and intact.
