For those of you who latch, do you let baby rotate sides every 5 mins? My baby is 6 weeks old. The polyclinic nurse told me to rotate sides every 5mins.....I thought we are supported to nurse on one side since mature milk would have kicked in by now???

Actually there will be many adv. but jus try n see which works best for U! Cos initially e hosp also told me to latch ten min then switch side. But I've alr been breastfeeding my bb almost 7mths n e way I do it is, latch one side. Then Nx feed switch side. So it's alternate n to me e flow is regulated n e bb will be able to experience e letdown as well. Jus try n follow what works best for U, there is no right or wrong:) Hope tis helps!

I understand that the hospital tells us to switch sides in order to stimulate milk flow. so am not sure what's the rationale or the nurse at the polyclinic

I don't practice every 5min, because I find it very disruptive on the feeding session and as what you've said, I want him to have access to hind milk. That said, I'll offer him the other side when he unlatches and ensure that I'll start with the other side at the next feeding session. If the rationale is to stimulate supply, one can pump after nursing as well.
