Do you think it is important for a 4-year-old kid to be regular in school? I often let my kid skip if she is very sleepy or don't feel like going.

So, the point of sending your 4yo to school is to be able to enjoy the company of other kids and learn in a fun way. I believe kids that age go to school for 3-4 hours. By letting her skip school now, you're probably preparing her to bunk school in later years. Not sure if there is a 100% correlation but I think she will learn that it is okay to bunk school if you are sleepy and don't feel like going. Again, that's a very personal choice. If you're okay with her bunking later on, skipping now should not bother you much. But since you're asking it here, looks like it does bother you. Here are a few things you can do to better the situation — 1) Move her nap times to not coincide with school time. 2) Make her more excited about school and the fun there. If she's feeling really sick, then of course, skipping is the best option.
