someone told me he knew of a fren whose 6months baby die due to lack of water. the baby was said to be on mixed feeding. so i am told must give water to my baby. my baby is total bf now. i know i read i dont need to give water to bb less than 6months old. but that story is nervewracking... water for baby anyone?

Babies shouldnt be given water until after 6 months at least. Cause their stomachs are small and they need all the nutrients they can get from bm/fm. If they are given water, they get full from the water easily and that's not beneficial to them cause it doesnt give them any nutrients they need for their growth. Thats why babies arent usually fed with water. Fully on bm/fm is sufficient cause it already contains water anyway.
