Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome

Can someone explain to me what are the effects of APAS in pregnancy. I gave birth last April 6 to my baby only at 32 weeks and 1 day due to late onset APAS. Didn't really understand how it happened except that amniotic fluid was too low without any leakage and my baby was already unresponsive that's why my doctor decided to do emergency C-section to deliver and save my child. After delivery, my final diagnosis was late onset APAS. My placenta's circulation was just 25%.

APS ibig sabihin ung antibodies dapat na nagfafight ng infection ang nilalabanan niya si phospholipid which is a type of fat na nasa blood vessels or ugat natin. Dahil dito nasisira ung ugat kaya nagkakaron ng blood clot or pamumuo ng dugo. If may blood clot nagko-cause ito ng early miscarriage, premature delivery, stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism at marami pang iba. Dahil late onset, means late na nila nadetect dahil ying ibang case na ganito hindi nila nadedetect agad lalo na if no symptoms. Since you gave birth premature, make sure na napa newborn screening, and okay naman mga laboratory tests ni baby. Talk to your OB/pedia regarding this issue, inote mo lahat ng questions mo para hindi mo malimutan. God bless.

hi. thank you. pero di parin masyado clear sakin. kaya ba 25% na lang circulation ng placenta ko kasi nagkaron ng clot? and instead na infection yung tinarget ng antibodies, ang tinarget nya is the phospholipid in the veins kaya nagkaron ng clot? sorry daming tanong. ok na baby ko. she had new born sceening during her time in the NICU. nakalabas na kami and just focusing on her weight gain so she could have her first vaccine on her next checkup.
