Hi, momshie! I had GDM when I was 18 weeks pregnant. OB and IM doctors advised me to go on a strict diet. I shifted from white rice to brown rice. No sweets talaga kahit fruits and fruit juices and crackers. Portioning rin of food every meal is key to managing the blood sugar levels. Kinaya naman sa diet and walking (30-40 minutes every morning) yung blood sugar ko so hindi ako nag insulin or any other medicine. I gave birth on my 37th week via NSD and okay naman si LO. :)
Much better to consult kay OB mamshie alam ko pag ganyan need na ng meds para ma regulate ung sugar level natin. Ako nga din tumaas sugar ko nag pa OGTT ako papa read ko palang kay OB d ko alam kung papa inumin ako meds or diet lang muna
