If you are already planning for a baby, I would say you should stop smoking now. It will help to increase your chances of conception, as well as reduce any possible ill effects to your and your unborn baby's health. Often, you may not realize that you are pregnant and may continue smoking. In such situations, it can be really harmful for the unborn baby when you unknowingly continue to smoke. here are a few study links that will show you why you should quit: http://yourfertility.org.au/for-women/smoking-and-fertility/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-81644/How-smoking-makes-harder-conceive.html

Studies have shown that smoking is detrimental to conception. In males, it adversely affects sperm quality and quantity and in females, it damages egg cells and hinders fertilisation. You'll have to see which one is more important to you - smoking, or a baby. http://www.nuhgynae.com.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=1054857

I was told by my doctor to stop smoking for at least a year before trying for a baby. It's been 2 years now and I hope to start a family soon :) Seriously, kicking this yucky habit (I was more of a social smoker) has been one of the best decisions of my life. I highly recommend you stop smoking if you want to start having a baby.

Don't want to sound preachy, but I think it is good to quit smoking even if you are not trying to get pregnant. It will be good for your health. The added advantage is that it will increase your chances of conception. Do it not just for your hopes of having a baby, do it for yourself too. :)

I would before I even start trying. If u do it while u are trying your body will have a lot of stress from quieting to also making a baby. Not only that if u do fall pregnant if your trying to quiet, stress getting over withdrawals bub will be stressed to.

Yes. I was a heavy smoker for almost 12 years or so. The moment I have intentions of planning for a baby, I quit! Snap! Just immediately. Because my will for a baby is stronger than just any cravings or habits.

you should stop smoking and start eating healthy foods and lot of fruits ,protein, and take prenatal vitamins atleast 3 months before you are planning to get pregnant.

Yes i should stop smoking when I'm trying to conceive because if i do not stop smoking when I'm trying to conceive that will cause problems when I'm pregnant

Smoking can cause you not to conceive, its possible you will battle to fall pregnant if you are smoking. Eat healthy, slight exercise and prenatal vitamins.
