Any recommendation for a good and affordable place for 1st birthday celebration? I'm looking for buffet lunch for about 45 people. Where can I get those customised cookies?

I went to a birthday lunch buffet at a place called A Pinch of Salt somewhere in Tanjong Pagar, once. It serves the usual cafe/western fare and the food's decent. Not too sure how much their buffet packages are but reckon not too pricey. You can contact them here: [email protected] 297 Tanjong Katong Road Tel: +65 6348 2297 Or you could book several tables at famous buffet places like Carousel (Royal Plaza on Scotts), Aquamarine etc. The food's familiar to alot of us and there are often credit card discounts. As for customised cookies, I've ordered from Naomi's Kitchen. I love their baked goods especially their swiss roll cakes (which they are famous for). Their bakery is in Lavender, near the ICA Building. http://www.naomikitchen.com/#!cookies/cm6c

the most affordable place would be your own place, if it's big enough, or you can do it at a function hall/room if your estate has one. I celebrated my boy's first month at my DBSS function hall and it was only about $20 for booking if I didn't remember wrongly. alternatively, you can get a close friend or relative who works in the civil service to help book a chalet. civil servants can book aloha loyang/changi for as low as $170 per night during peak periods for a terrace. my hubby who is in SAF managed to book NSRCC for $288 for 4D3N.

I don't have many friends/relatives staying in Condos. My parents feels that chalets are too way out for our guests. They prefer somewhere more convenient. My Husband and I don't want to spend huge amounts celebrating in a hotel.

That bad, other cafe will be like eat pray love, cafe melba, food for thought and vineyard, but the locations may be a bit inconvenient if no transport for some. Hope you found your cafe for tour celebration!

I have booked hotel cafe buffet ($35/pax) this time for my LO's 1st bd bcoz I did baby shower at my blk multi-purpose hall. Though I rented 2 air con but still some complained is hot. 😞 my invited list is around 100 pax. U can probably try those cafes like nandos or Charlie Brown cafe in Orchard to get a set meal, think it's ard $20/pax.

What do you define as affordable? Best to do in condo function room and cater food. You can cater for about $7-8 per pax. Otherwise consider renting a chalet, or Serangoon Country Club, eat play love cafe, square 10...

Wah! That is a lot man and food is not yet included!

Function room at Condo or CC and cater buffet is a better choice to accomondate 45pax. There's many facebook seller who can customise cookies. You can check out Yan Cuppies.

Cc is a good choice. Then order in buffet. Note that u may need to factor in the cleaning fee as well.

May try to host it at the function hall of nearest Community Centre. It is quite reasonable pricing.
