I'm 31 weeks pregnant now and also just got my 2nd dose abt 2 weeks ago. I think as long as u check w ur gynae n he/she thinks it's safe for u then should be ok. as long as urs is not a high risk pregnancy should be no issues. My 1st dose only had sore arms, 2nd dose was fever like symptoms w/o the fever, so headache, chills n bodyaches for 1.5 days, take panadol then ok already. I took moderna which has more side effects, I think pfizer lesser side effects. My gynae say it's good to take so baby will get some of the antibodies also, but really it's up to u.
As a staff working in an obstetrics ward.. it safe to take covid vaccine during pregnancy (gestation doesn't matter).. As for effects on baby, it's actually good as the antibodies get passed on to your baby too! but to each their own.. if you not comfortable getting it while pregnant.. then wait till after birth.. won't have to stop breastfeeding as well ( like I said antibodies will transfer to your baby)
I just completed my second dose two days ago on Sunday. So far, for the 1st and 2nd dose side effects was minimal- just sore arms for a day and increased fatigue. No fever etc. Waiting for 2 weeks to get the vaccinated status that will give me a bit of peace of mind during my confinement. Dining out is the last thing on my mind. It’s my safety and the baby’s that sealed my decision to get vaccinated.
I'm due in nov too. just took my vaccination last weekend after debating with myself for very long. side effects are minimal just sore arms for a day. was worried about potential side effects on baby but eventually decided that the risk is higher since sg is reopening n there are more cases. discuss with ur husband about it. if you want to wait then be firm about it as well.. its your choice.
my edd is on december, and got my 1st jab yesterday. so far the side effects are minimal - sore arms, headache and nausea, but all good now. my gynae is all for it so i just trusted him and went for the vaccine.
Get it when you feel ready. Afterall you will be bearing the side effects on your own. Check with your gynae before vaccine to get some assurance for yourself and feel better about going for it.
I got mine done in early second trimester, have already got the vaccinated status. I still won’t be going out everyday but it gives me peace of mind, since my family members do go out too
Don't worry mama. Its for your own safety as the covid rate is much higher and risky for pregnant mums. I got my 2nd dose @ 5 weeks. My LO is fine and growing healthy. Stay safe! 🌹
I'm not vaccinated as well. u should only vaccinate if u feel comfortable enough to do so. after all, we are responsible not just for ourselves but also for the babies growing in us.
I am 25 weeks pregnant I already got my two vaccine jabs… no much side effects only sore arm for two days …
